Respect Yourself.

Anxiety because of obesity?

Tonight I just saw a video from a young lady in her early 20's dealing with anxiety.  She was stating how she feels like she's going to die at a very early age.  This troubled me.  I can not believe people out in society are still making others feel worse about theirselves in this day and age.  Comments full of negativity can lead a person to get very ill mentally and physically.  Every ONE person deserves respect, whether you're thin, medium, large or extra large!  Life can be beautiful if we learned to accept one another and just be happy for being alive!  Breath before you speak to take a moment and think of what you're about to say to anyone.  The video hit home for me because I'm an extra large person with great strength against harsh words and hoping to rub off my strengths to those who need it.  Good luck to you "TheBigGirlDiary"!!!!

Sweet Day.

Today was a pleasant day with hardly any spasms! Yea! As for my weightloss, I treated myself to DQ small ice-cream.  Once a month is ok to treat yourself, I believe.  Many people trying to lose weight end up messing up because they don't allow one treat to themselves so they don't feel so deprived.  Also, when you're ill 24/7, you deserve to treat yourself.  Another thought accurred to me today.  I think people who are like myself, should consider a pet.  They are wonderful stress relievers especially when depression begins to creep in.  I understand the great responsibility in having a pet companion, so only consider it if you have family and/or friends to help you.  Having a dog definately will get you out of your house or apartment and work your limbs!  More to come later...for now, keep on keeping on!

My Introduction

Hello Everyone, Being overweight all my life is hard to deal with but believe it or not, I overcame the jokes or cruel remarks from classmates, so called friends or passing strangers because I never backed down from any one plus I was very witty at comebacks.  I was no one's fool, I didn't let me being fat stop me from having respect for myself and from others.  I believe you get treated the way you show everyone how to treat you.  Anyone living with MS or Obesity or both, knows the everyday battles we deal with on a daily basis.  We get looks and rude stares when in public or especially if you are in a restaurant or you're passing through a crowded plaza.  We seem to have fallen off the social scene, geez, a very popular TV network would not play a "Lane Bryant" commercial claiming the lady was too revealing yet they play "Victoria Secrets" too sexy and revealing commercials all the time.  Uh, what's wrong with that picture?...
